Emily Everett, LPC
Trauma-informed Art Therapist
I believe therapy should feel empowering, safe, natural, supportive, and nonjudgmental. My goal is to create a space where you can be yourself and be seen and heard and be free to explore, grow, and heal. My work and style is accessible, down-to-earth, individualized, and effective.
I value my work with professionals, parents, and LGBTQ-IA+ humans. I am especially skilled in working with motivated women from all walks of life, especially in helping those experiencing the magic of mid-life or their second Spring era.
If you’re feeling lost in an overwhelming world, you’re not alone—growth, healing, and transformation are possible and I can help guide you on your journey with heart and expertise.
With over 22 years of experience, I am trained in a variety of therapeutic interventions to meet the needs of my clients. My personal and professional path has led me to understand the interconnectedness of the mind, body and spirit in the healing process. I hold a dual Master's Degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado.
Besides my counseling experience, I also have extensive experience working in settings such as emergency rooms, outpatient and inpatient behavioral health, and community case management. I am passionate about helping clients overcome adversity, navigate barriers to their health and develop skills to honor themselves and their well-being.
I am a sunshine junkie and when I’m not working, I am enjoying the stereotypical Colorado life of all things outdoors; including camping, hiking, and paddleboarding. At any moment, you can find me out on a trail or practicing yoga, meditation, exploring the world or creating art (I especially appreciate playing with clay/ceramics). I love watching my three children grow into good humans, and spending quality time with my partner.
My comprehensive work and training history has helped me develop a wide range of healing modalities that can create real and lasting change in my clients lives. If you are a human dealing with any of the following issues, I can lovingly guide you towards a more fulfilling and aligned life:
Anxiety disorders, panic attacks, impulse control, performance anxiety, and numbing/self-medicating.
Depression, burn-out, stress, overwhelm, major life challenges, menopause
Navigating the world of Neuro-Divergence; Autism, psychiatric conditions and ADHD
Trauma, PTSD, childhood trauma, ancestral trauma
Relationship issues, attachment challenges, struggles with family dynamics
I have learned to integrate my education and training to cater to the unique and individualized need of each client. I have training in the following modalities:
